Spain to lift controls on tourists from outside the E.U.

Spain is to reduce the entry conditions for all non-European tourists. In tough times Spain cannot allow to miss out on tourists, or to have a foreign country against her. So Madrid has shown it has been receptive to the several complaints received from Brazil and Mexico. Until now any non-European tourist who wants to enter Spain or an unlimited time has to show, a visa if required, a return ticket and a hotel reservation as well enough money to cover the stay, put at 74 € per day. If they were staying in a friend’s house, they had to supply all the details about the person and the house they would be saying going as far as the escritura for the purchase or the rental agreement. The friend needed to supply the DNI residency card and details of his wage and a tax return. Now all those requirements are being removed and now the tourist only has to say who they are visiting and give the address.
